    • Thank you for your comment Mrs Allen. We are hoping to set up an auto mailing system in the coming weeks so that Leaseholders can choose to receive emails whenever there is an update posted. We will confirm when this has been put in place.

  1. Hello Wendy,

Can we have updates on plans to upgrade the community internet system to the fibre connection now connected to Low Westwood Lane? Also, when can we expect the Sky system to be capable of connecting Sky Q services?

Are there any updates on the Universal Learning Streams development of floors 1, 3 and 4?

Are there plans to provide a ‘useable’ residents garden?

Look forward to hearing from you.

    • Thank you for your queries Mr Lambie.
The plans to upgrade the internet provision are still in place. Due to the significant cost, and the emergence of Covid-19, these plans had to be temporarily put on hold. As I’m sure you can appreciate, the enhanced hygiene measures required to ensure compliance with Government instructions were prioritised throughout 2020 and the budget had to be adjusted to allow for the increased cost, meaning any unnecessary works had to be delayed.
As I’m sure you are aware, the Coronavirus pandemic has also impacted businesses in all sectors, including Universal Learning Streams. Whilst the development of the currently unused floors will be going ahead, again plans had to be put on hold to allow for increased costs related to Covid-19.
We have looked into the potential for upgrading the building to Sky Q and I’m afraid the news is not positive. Sky have informed us that the building system is not capable of supporting the upgrade, so this will not be possible with the current system in place.
With regards the resident’s garden: it is our intention in the coming months to compile a 5 year development plan for this area. In order to spread the cost for Leaseholders, and try to make the garden a more functional & attractive space for Residents, we believe that approaching this project over time and inviting suggestions from Leaseholders would be most beneficial. Leaseholders will be contacted in the first instance to request ideas on what they would like to see included in the plans.
I hope this answers your queries satisfactorily. If you have any further questions or would like clarification on any matter, please feel free to email me at wendy@hresco.com anytime.
